I appeal to Albion fans not to attend the away game against Wimbledon at Selhurst Park on August 28.

Wimbledon were bought on behalf of a Norwegian company and are to be moved to Milton Keynes (once a ground has been built) despite the wishes of fans at both Wimbledon and Milton Keynes.

The Dons' fans, who have seen their club go from amateur to Premiership and have supported them through thick and thin, do not deserve to be treated in this way.

They have not just rolled over and accepted it, though, and have got together a new team, AFC Wimbledon, who have sold 500 season tickets already for the 2002/2003 season.

Their first game, a friendly against Sutton today, is only the beginning.

Please don't go to the game at Selhurst Park and write to tell them why. Come instead to see "Real Wimbledon" or, at least, send them your good wishes.

It could have been the Albion who were sold off and sent who knows where?
