A troublesome Brighton teenager has been made the subject of an antisocial behaviour order.

The 17-year-old has been ordered not to cause harassment, alarm or distress to the residents of two houses in Moulsecoomb.

He was also ordered not to enter the houses or gardens and not to throw missiles or objects at the properties.

The application for the order was made by Brighton and Hove City Council.

The youth agreed to the two-year order. If he breaches it he can be brought back to court and could face jail.

Brighton magistrates heard there had been no complaints about the youth since legal proceedings were started and he now hoped to go to college and start an apprenticeship.

The court made an order preventing his identity from being published after hearing he has kept out of trouble and publicity could harm his job prospects.
