Gloucester City Council has signed a contract with Crawley-based information technology specialists Rocc for a new document and print management system.
Rocc's scanning system is being used to capture data from the job tickets issued by the council's clients housing and highways maintenance departments and for council employees' timesheets.
The system interprets the tickets' data and produces a file for the council's contract management system. The timesheet data is fed into the system's pay module.
The images from both applications are then sent electronically to a storage and retrieval system.
