Telecoms giant Cable and Wireless warned further cost cutting might be needed to cope with another year of industry turmoil.
Chief executive Graham Wallace told shareholders that the group's strong balance sheet was helping it deal with the downturn.
But he added it would be forced to keep a lid on costs in the coming year as it guides its Global web-hosting business through to profitability.
