Eastbourne residents have been warned to lock doors and windows after a spate of burglaries.
Garages have also been targeted in the Langney area of Eastbourne, particularly in Kipling Walk, between Saturday and today.
Crime prevention officer Dave Smith advised taking simple security measures, such as making sure tools were chained to the inside of garages, marked with the house number and post code.
Security alarms should also be fitted in homes and garages.
