I helped at Bar Del Mer Bar near the stage. It was obvious there were not enough police and stewards and basic things such as larger signs to the toilets.

I play beach volleyball. The morning after the event, I had to spend three hours clearing the sand from the court. All the players are really worried about their feet being injured by broken glass.

I was told Brighton and Hove City Council had employed 30 cleaners but it needed ten times that number.

On Monday night, I went to the beach to play volleyball. All around the court, it stank of urine and was littered with beer cans.

I asked the Bar Del Mer's owner if he had spoken to the council. He told me it did not want to know. The gulls had started to peck through the plastic bin liners.

It's sad Fatboy Slim and the council seemed to be doing nothing to make amends for the problem they had created.

I was told the children's concert at the weekend had been cancelled, which seems wrong.

Fatboy Slim supposedly did the concert to promote Brighton but Brighton does not really need promoting.
