Who the hell does this silly Fatboy Slim character think he is? Why can't he grow up?

I am furious at the way the city has been trashed - the beach is still unusable. We haven't had many sunny weekends and his stupid "party" has meant no one can enjoy the beach.

I really resent any of my council tax being used to pay for this nonsense and the idea of it becoming an annual event sounds like a horror story.

Why encourage hordes of people into Brighton when this is the result?

What are we council tax-paying residents supposed to get out of it? I had visitors last weekend and I was embarrassed.

I tried to convince them Brighton was not always full of hordes and litter but I don't think they will ever come back.

They were appalled and wondered why I choose to live here - another event like Saturday's and I will begin to wonder myself.

I am not remotely interested in knowing anything about Norman Cook but, if he refused to pay his council tax back in 1990, maybe I should refuse to pay mine if it is going to be used to pay for such stupid ventures.

Capital of Culture indeed. What kind of "culture" are you talking about?

We have a beautiful new museum and gallery to be proud of and a past steeped in history. That is culture. What happened on the beach on Saturday night was something else entirely and I want nothing to do with it.

I am sick to death of these weekends when crowds of people invade the city and ruin it for those of us who live here.
