Saturday was an incredible event to have been part of. The fact it was free is a rare thing.

For one day, people really were free to do what they wanted. In what some people might describe as a badly organised event, the people took it on themselves to behave well and have fun.

There was no sense of being bothered by the authorities. It was Brighton saying, "Here you go, today the city is yours."

The massive crowd was incredibly relaxed and people did look out for each other. I would not want fences put up and police everywhere.

This was an event for the people and the people have to decide how to behave and whether or not they feel safe.

Accidents happen, whether at a party such as Saturday's or on a normal day.

Considering how many people were there and the few injuries that occurred, it was a major success.

The real let-down was the glass and rubbish on the beach.
