Hundreds of people are protesting over the curtailment of a popular bus route.
Brighton and Hove Bus and Coach Company earlier this year stopped running the number 6 bus between Downs Park and Mile Oak during the day.
This followed the withdrawal of support from Sainsbury's at West Hove for the service.
North Portslade councillor Bob Carden will present a petition to a Brighton and Hove City Council meeting today signed by 387 people.
He said: "They blame Sainsbury's for the removal of funding for this bus. Now they find that, in the new school term, there will be further bus cuts because of the change in hours at Hove Park School.
"I am becoming increasingly concerned at these cuts. We are encouraging people to use public transport and rewarding them by taking it away.
"Hangleton Link Road is extremely busy and dangerous. Despite petitions and delegations, we are getting nowhere."
Earlier this year, Coun Carden presented a petition to the council calling for a pelican crossing on Hangleton Link Road.
