I am a regular user of the buses and I also own a car. The clearing of bus lanes is to be welcomed, if only to speed up the service.
I am a little concerned, though, at the impression given in Voice of The Argus (July 13).
This suggested motorists using bus lanes clog up our city. The fact is the city is often almost at a standstill because Brighton and Hove City Council allows roadworks to take place in the busiest season on the busiest road (the seafront), driving all vehicles into one lane.
There seems to be no strategic planning for roadworks across the city.
