I cannot believe it - I'm actually congratulating a council department!

I am a long way down the waiting list for a popular allotment site at the bottom of my garden.

I noticed several plots were not being used and reported this to the allotments office.

To my surprise, within a couple of days, I had a reply saying an officer had visited the site and had issued several warnings and one notice to quit.

If only the rest of the council was run so efficiently.
