A driver was punched in the face through her car window by another woman in a road rage attack in Eastbourne.
Tempers flared when the 21-year-old victim made a driving error in her white Ford Fiesta at the junction in Latimer Road.
Police said gestures were exchanged between her and a couple in a silver BMW before they followed her, forcing her to pull over.
The middle-aged BMW driver shouted abuse at the young woman before his female companion got out of the car.
She punched the woman in the face through the open driver's window and kicked her car twice, denting both the driver's door and rear offside wing.
The man had grey hair, was 5ft 10in tall, of medium build and smart appearance.
His companion was about 40, with brown hair, about 5ft 3in tall and casually dressed.
Anyone with information about the incident on July 14 should call PC Trevor Perks at Eastbourne police on 0845 6070 999.
