I would like to warn readers about the perils of booking with Transmanche Ferries.

Our trip from Newhaven to Dieppe was uneventful enough.

The trouble was the return trip, which was a complete non-event because there was no ferry.

No check-in staff, no information at all and, even a month later, no apology.

Transmanche had cancelled the ferry a couple of weeks before and failed to notify passengers, holiday companies and travel agents of those already booked.

So, if you are going to Dieppe, I suggest you give Transmanche a very wide berth.
