The majority of people would like to continue working past the official retirement age if their firms offered more flexible hours.
This according to a report by career consultancy Penna Sanders and Sidney and the Employers'
Forum on Age.
93 per cent said
they would like to extend their working life but only if they could work a shorter week or become part-time.
Eight out of ten
said they would stay in employment past retirement age if they could have reduced hours.
78 per cent
said they would continue working if they could go part-time.
