This has baffled me for years. I often hear people talking about the Union Flag being upside down (M A Tuck, Letters, July 23).
Well, I can't for the life of me work out the difference between right way round and wrong. When I have held a flag and turned it the other way round, it looks the same to me. Please would you explain how you can tell? I'm sure many people would like to know too.
I have also heard that the flag being flown upside down means something - probably something nasty. Can you also answer this one as well? Many thanks.
