Sussex glamour model Jordan is facing up to the news that her two-month-old son is blind.

The Brighton-based celebrity was flying to the US today to promote the latest edition of top-shelf magazine Playboy, which features her on the cover.

Her trip follows reports that her baby, Harvey, was born blind, with only the remotest chance of gaining his sight.

Eye experts told Jordan, real name Katie Price, the baby's optic nerves failed to develop in her womb.

Harvey, son of newly-signed Blackburn Rovers star Dwight Yorke, was born at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.

Her manager Dave Read said: "It is absolutely tragic. Apparently there is no hope of saving poor little Harvey's eyesight.

"Katie has got a hard exterior but inside she is crying. She will pull through it though. She is tough enough.

"She wants to keep on working because she feels it is the best thing to do."
