Teachers Laure and Paul Jackson loved being by the sea so much they got married on the beach.
The couple, both 35, exchanged their vows as scores of sun seekers looked on.
Guests in the congregation sat in deckchairs, which were lined up like a row of church pews.
The couple, who are both PE teachers at Angmering School, near Littlehampton, decided they wanted an open-air ceremony.
The wedding took place on the beach at Worthing Yacht Club on Saturday.
Mrs Jackson, ne Excell, said: "I'm very, very happy. It is the best day of my life.
"We have got friends and family from France, Scotland and Ireland. I'm half French so we have quite an international crowd here.
"There are also lots of people here from our school and some of our pupils are playing in the band.
"The weather has been wonderful - though even rain couldn't have ruined the day. It really has been perfect."
