In answer to Roger Lee (The Argus, July 27), the red diagonal cross on the flag is not placed centrally upon the white.
So if he looks again at a flag, he will clearly see there is a wide, white diagonal stripe on one side of the red, and a narrow stripe on the other.
A Union Jack is the right way up when, on the flag pole side, the wide white stripe is at the top of the flag.
What distress is being suffered at Caffyns - still - is not altogether clear.
