An investigation is under way after a middle-aged man was found dead at his seaside flat in Worthing.
Police broke into the property in Portland Road, Worthing, yesterday after neighbours raised concerns about the man, who had not been seen for several days.
Officers who found a body called in murder squad detectives and forensic experts.
The area outside the flat was cordoned off and a police officer was posted outside the front door for most of yesterday afternoon.
But, following their inquiries, the death is not being treated as suspicious.
Neighbours said the man did not talk to many people in the street, although he had a lot of night-time visitors.
One said: "It was quite usual for people to be calling for him at 2am or 3am."
