The original Wild Thing, singer/songwriter Chip Taylor is from a family of high achievers.
Born James Voight, his eldest brother Barry is a leading geologist and his other elder brother Jon is the Oscar-winning star of films such as Midnight Cowboy and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, alongside Chip's Oscar-winning niece, Angelina Jolie.
Chip's most famous composition was a hit for The Troggs and Jimi Hendrix.
His song Angel Of The Morning has been recorded by such diverse stars as Nina Simone, PP Arnold and Shaggy.
Chip also discovered James Taylor and recorded the seminal album Chip Taylor's Last Chance in 1973.
In the Eighties, Chip gave up music and became a professional gambler.
The title of his hit Son Of A Rotten Gambler might have proved apocryphal if he hadn't been such a resounding success.
A canny race-horse handicapper, Chip received the ultimate accolade in professional gambling circles when he was banned for his money-winning prowess from every casino in Atlantic City as well as several in Las Vegas and other parts of the world.
Chip will be joined by John Platania, who spent a decade as Van Morrison's musical director and lead guitarist and also works regularly with Bonnie Raitt and Randy Newman.
Also onstage will be fiddler Carrie Rodriguez who Chip saw playing at an in-store gig in her native Austin, Texas.
With Chip's encouragement, the 23-year-old has also turned to singing and they have written an album of duets, Hole In The Midnight, to be released later this month.
Tickets cost £10 and are available from 01273 680734.
