Mark Loram reverts to type at Arlington Stadium tonight.
Loram, Eastbourne's No. 1 rider, leads the Sussex team into action in their Elite League top of the table showdown with Coventry.
Yet 48 hours before, he was doing Coventry a massive favour and helping to turn up the heat on Eagles.
Loram, the consummate professional, was booked as a guest for absent Coventry skipper Billy Hamill, and he did not let down Eastbourne's rivals.
He top scored with 12 points as the Bees beat third-placed Wolverhampton 47-43 to move within a point of Eagles at the top of the league.
Whoever wins tonight will be the leaders with seven matches to run.
Coventry have already won at Arlington this season, having won 45-44 in April, and another thriller is on the cards.
Eastbourne expect to be at full strength, but the visitors may be without Andreas Jonsson.
Jonsson crashed heavily when he shed a chain in the last heat against Wolves and sustained a hand injury.
