Pagans held a festival in Eastbourne to celebrate the start of the harvesting season.
Eastbourne town crier Anthony Chamberlain-Brothers led a seafront parade of morris dancers and drummers from the Wish Tower to the pier.
This was followed by an afternoon of traditional folk music and dancing, as part of Eastbourne Pagan Circle's annual Lammas festival.
Organiser Jerry Bird said: "The day went fantastically. We got a good reaction from the public and everyone had a great family day out."
Performers included Mel Myland, who runs a puppet museum at the Wish Tower, local band Rattlebone and the Eastbourne Giants.
The event is expected to have raised hundreds of pounds for the RNLI.
Last year Tory-controlled Eastbourne Borough Council refused permission for the Lammas fair to take place on the Western Lawns.
But organisers of the event went ahead with the festival near the Wish Tower, close to the lawns.
This year the Eastbourne Pagan Circle said a change of administration at the council had made it easier to organise the event.
