With the changes coming into force last week, there were bound to be teething troubles with the refuse collection (The Argus, August 3).
When changes are made to any service, there are usually problems to begin with but, within a short space of time, they are usually solved and the service should run smoothly.
Brighton and Hove City Council sending out leaflets with the wrong delivery day on them has not helped, only adding to any confusion.
Some residents not getting a collection for two weeks is not acceptable service and this should be rectified without delay.
It does pose a health issue and the refuse should be collected this week.
As far as I know, the changes have come into force without any problems in my area and this will probably be the case throughout the whole city within the next couple of weeks.
With the changes now being made, hopefully the service will settle down and become reliable, as the residents of Brighton and Hove are entitled to expect.
