An exhibition of one of Sussex's oldest and most prestigious family businesses has opened.
Dear Little Bognor - Images From The Reynolds Collection is on display at the West Sussex Record Office in Orchard Street, Chichester.
The exhibition draws on images from the collection of Norman Reynolds, whose great-grandfather Samuel founded Reynolds & Co in Bognor in the 1860s.
Succeeding generations took the firm into home furnishing, removals, estate agency, auctioning and undertaking, making it one of the biggest and oldest independently-owned family businesses in the South-East.
Assistant county archivist Alan Readman said: "Mr Reynolds has an outstanding collection of prints and photographs, which he is kindly allowing the record office to scan for preservation purposes.
"Some were the work of Frank Reynolds, who had a photographic studio in the High Street before the First World War, and was a keen collector of old prints.
"Altogether there are some really superb pictures of the town."
The exhibition will be on display at the record office until October 12.
