As an exclusive Edinburgh Fringe Festival preview, Steven Berkoff performs his new play, Requiem For Ground Zero.
Berkoff describes the production as a poem written to pay homage to the unknown victims of September 11.
The actor and playwright who lives in Brighton says the play is "to mourn and, at the same time, pay homage, to grieve and to also express rage, anger, fury, compassion and, ultimately, understanding".
Berkoff only made the decision to do the Brighton performances on Wednesday. He says he wants to use the shows as a rehearsal for Edinburgh.
Ironically, Berkoff was refused entry to the US earlier this year when he flew to Detroit to attend a September 11 memorial event.
Apparently, he was asked to leave the United States for violating visa regulations in 1997.
Tickets are £5 and £3 concessions. The show starts at 8pm. Call 01273 647100.
