A blast from the past heralds the last opera in Glyndebourne Festival Opera's 2002 season.
Sir Peter Hall returns to Sussex to direct a revival of Benjamin Britten's comic opera based on the first production in 1985.
This tale of a small rural community deciding on a May King because of a shortage of potential May Queen's stars Sussex soprano Dame Felicity Lott as Lady Billows and includes Diana Montague, Susan Gritton, Robert Poulton and Christopher Maltman.
The London Philharmonic Orchestra will be conducted by Glyndebourne's new head of music, Vladimir Jurowski. It runs in repertory until August 25.
