Horse-lover Harry Tharme couldn't believe it when the racecourse he had been spending his pension at for years told him he was too old to go in.
A full-house meant the concession seats set aside for the elderly were full.
But the course was happy to take more cash to allow him into the main enclosure.
Racecourse boss Phil Bell says he will investigate but Mr Tharme has vowed never to set foot inside again.
A classic case of closing the stable door after the horse has bolted.
