Police sealed off an East Sussex road today while officers investigated reports of a drive-by shooting.
Officers launched an investigation after a shot was allegedly fired from a moving car at another vehicle.
There were no reports of injuries in the shooting, which happened at 9pm yesterday in King Offa Way, Bexhill.
Witnesses reported hearing a shot fired from one car at another. No description of the vehicles has been released.
The westbound road at King Offa Way remained closed this morning and traffic was diverted through the town centre.
A stretch of road where the shooting is believed to have taken place was taped off and under police guard.
