Why the anxiety over the sale of Telscombe Tye? I am advised the Tye is owned by the residents of Telscombe Cliff.
It was bought many years ago with the residents of the time having their rates increased to cover the cost. The council is the custodian.
The Tye cannot be sold without total agreement by the owners.
Let us also not lose sight of the fact that the behaviour of Southern Water is costing money. Whose money?
It may be the shareholders today but it will most certainly be our cost later, when Southern Water sets out to recoup the cost of its propaganda.
Southern Water should be told we do not want to sell.
