I am dismayed by the attitude of some residents of Hangleton Valley who appear to be anti-learner drivers.
I suspect many of them have never had to take a driving test, especially with today's pressure.
The attitude of Councillor Willows, who demands urgent action to be taken, is typical of present-day Nimbyism.
I fail to see what harm is being done by having learner drivers slowly and courteously driving around during the day.
Coun Willows would be better off using his influential powers to curb motorists who speed around Hangleton's roads, where more harm and dangers exist.
Obviously, where Coun Willows lives is not a rat run, just a quiet haven for learner drivers.
