A teenager has appeared at Brighton Magistrates' Court accused of manslaughter.
William Hopkins, 18, of Southern Down, Bridgend, south Wales, is charged with unlawfully killing David Illingworth, 22, from Brighton.
Mr Illingworth was injured in Ship Street, Brighton, on August 3 and died five days later at Hurstwood Park Hospital, Haywards Heath.
Hopkins, a sports science student, was bailed to appear at Lewes Crown Court on August 22.
