Will House hammered a superb unbeaten double century to help Sussex II to a remarkable six-wicket victory over Northamptonshire at Hastings yesterday.
Carl Hopkinson also scored his second hundred of the match to give Sussex a comfortable win with 10.2 overs remaining having been set a daunting target of 441 in 88 overs.
House and Hopkinson, who both scored centuries in the first innings, added 278 for the fourth wicket.
Hopkinson hit 19 fours for his 113 off 143 balls before House eased Sussex home. The winning runs also completed his 200 off only 168 balls with 28 fours and two sixes. Northants had earlier declared their second innings on 356-5.
