Commuters are being given a chance to play a key role in the future of train services.
South Central is looking for five regular passengers to join its 12-member stakeholder advisory board.
The board will provide advice and guidance aimed at helping the company meet its targets and goals.
It will bring together managers, staff and passengers in a forum to discuss the needs of existing and potential passengers across the network.
Four people are needed to represent the Brighton mainline, the Arun Valley line, the Uckfield line and the Coastway line.
A fifth person will represent the south London metro area.
Managing director David Franks said: "We want the board to reflect the diversity of our passengers and staff.
"We are inviting anyone who meets the specification and who can make a positive contribution."

The closing date for applications is Friday.
