Servomex, the Crowborough-based manufacturer of gas analysing equipment, has sealed a purification plant export deal to China.
The firm shipped two complete systems for a terephthalic acid (PTA) purification plant being built in Yizheng.
One of the systems is designed to monitor the efficiency and safety of the initial oxidation process while the other is to be installed to monitor crystallisation.
Servomex has also supplied a wash-water analysis cubicle to monitor the recirculation of gases at the plant.
PTA is used in the production of polyester fibre. Spencer Cheng, general manager of Servomex Asia Pacific, said: "Servomex has a proven track record more than 20 years of building gas analysis systems for PTA plants.
"This enabled the team from Sinopec Yizheng Chemical Fibre Company to visit two PTA plants in Taiwan equipped with Servomex systems before placing their order."
