A Goring man who assaulted his ex-girlfriend's new lover has been bound over to keep the peace.
Kevin Churchill, 24, of Aldsworth Parade, admitted assault causing actual bodily harm.
Sally Coles, prosecuting, told Worthing Magistrates' Court Churchill had been in a night club in the early hours of April 28 when he bumped into his ex and her new boyfriend.
An argument broke out between the two men and Churchill inflicted head injuries on the man.
Chris Chatterton, defending, said: "There is no love lost between the two. Mr Churchill was enjoying a night out with friends when there was a confrontation between them."
Churchill was bound over in the sum of £250 to keep the peace for 12 months.
