Recent excavations at a Roman palace are open to the public for guided tours on bank holiday Monday.
Fishbourne Roman Palace near Chichester has been the venue for excavations in recent weeks and tours are offered as part of Excavations Open Day.
Guided tours around the site are being held from 10am to 6pm. Admission is £4.70 for adults, £2.50 for children and £12.20 for a family ticket.
Fishbourne Palace is a Sussex Past site, which has several other properties open to the public, including Lewes Castle, Michelham Priory, The Priest House and Marlipins Museum in Shoreham.
These properties, except the Marlipins, are open to the public and there are admission charges.
We incorrectly stated these properties were English Heritage sites offering free admission over the bank holiday. We apologise for the error.
