As a local trader (BJ's Home Maintenance), I look to service the urgent needs of my local community.

The nature of my business is that people phone me with urgent needs for help around their homes for many reasons.

They often have what, after the event, may seem simple problems but, at the time, are serious to them.

I try to provide help wherever possible but, as with many other traders, this is becoming more difficult because of what appears to be the inflexibility of the current arrangements provided by Brighton and Hove City Council.

I and many other traders want to know what the council is going to do about it - other than bury its head in the sand.
