I cannot believe what I have just heard. Brighton Marina will pay for Sussex police officers to patrol the Marina on their days off.
Sussex police officers should be patrolling and protecting all the people and all the estates, not just areas where the idle rich live.
Whenever there are problems on our estates, we are constantly told by the authorities they don't have the manpower to deal with it. Yet they can find the manpower to keep moneyed people safe and cosy in their beds.
Proof, once again, that there is one rule for them and another for the rest of us.
Not only is this an outrage but also an insult to all Brighton and Hove's taxpayers on our crime-ridden estates. Whoever thought up this offensive idea should be sacked.
