Detectives investigating four sex attacks on women at the Butlins holiday camp in Bognor have searched a house.
It followed an incident on Tuesday night when a man was found lurking in bushes at the perimeter fence of the camp, then fled on an old racing bike when challenged by security guards.
A police spokesman said a member of the public had come forward with information today and a house was now being searched.
The spokesman added: "He is not a member of staff at Butlins. However, security at Butlins is being maintained and our inquiries are ongoing inside the complex."
Staff at the camp have been quizzed in the hunt for the sex attacker, dubbed the Beast of Bognor by some newspapers.
A spokesman for the holiday camp said today: "Sussex Police have informed us that they have no evidence to support suspicion against any member of our staff following recent attacks in the vicinity."
The first attack was on August 10 when a woman said she was raped just inside the grounds. There was an indecent assault four days later just inside the perimeter and a third woman reported being assaulted on August 18.
In a fourth attack in the early hours of Tuesday a man grabbed a woman, kissed her and pushed her on to a bench. She struggled free.
The victims were all aged around 21. One was a guest at the camp and the others were local.
