Oh, dear. It seems John Parry, judging from his ice-skating article (August 9), seems to have missed the reports on Keep Sussex Skating Association (KSS) that have appeared regularly in The Argus.
Adam Trimingham has written about the KSS ice campaign progress for a new ice arena.
Earlier this year, the skating fraternity of more than 4,000 supporters signed the KSS petition at the Brighton Centre's Get Your Skates On! event. On public display were the plans and dialogue for a new ice arena.
There was debate. The supporters, many of them parents and youngsters, approved a versatile and feasible 4,000-seat ice arena. Brighton and Hove City Council was informed.
The public gave a unanimous "yes" to the ice-rink plans, for which they could make an educated decision for the city.
It is great to have good, positive ice-skating publicity. However, let's hear the whole story. Let truth be clear.
Essentially, let the will of the community be heard. John, come and meet us in the foyer at the Brighton Centre's Get Your Skates On! event from August 16 to September 8.
Help us to keep sussex skating and check out, with the public, the KSS ice-arena development plans.
