In light of Becky Wood's negative experiences in trying to obtain a car insurance quote from Sainsbury's (Letters, August 23), I visited its web site for some more insight.
I was amused to see a section marked "Students" and that a sub-link "Virtual museum" redirects the visitor through a page called "Corporate and social responsibility" without allowing that page to be read.
How I laughed. Sainsbury's does very well out of students in terms of added custom and cheap labour.
Perhaps it should consider extending its "social responsibility" to provide insurance cover for those wishing to use their own transport to get to its supermarkets.
Go on, Sainsbury's, I dare you - make life taste better.
