Worthing coach Ian Davies has been handed an extra incentive to make a winning start when the new season kicks off tomorrow.
The Sussex Trophy champions host Norwich in the Powergen Senior Cup qualifying round (3pm).
It promises to be a tough opening against London One opponents but Davies might have inside information.
He said: "My girldfriend's brother Rob Nicoll plays in the back row for Norwich.
"He has injured his knee and won't play but there has still been plenty of banter going on."
Worthing have no new signings but report vastly improved turnouts at training.
Chichester make their debut in the competition with a tie at London One outfit Southend.
They will be without outside half Nick Stanton, still recovering from the knee injury he suffered in last season's county final.
