A historic swimming pool is getting a new lease of life after springing a leak.
St Luke's Pool, in St Luke's Terrace, Brighton, was found to be losing water during a routine check-up.
An annual two-week shutdown was extended and a new opening date set for September 14.
Remedial work being carried out includes renewing circulation pipework, repairing brickwork and replacing tiles around the pool's walls with a specialised coating.
The Grade II-listed building, opened in 1903, is mainly used for school swimming lessons and community sessions.
City culture councillor Ian Duncan said: "These repairs are the pool's 100th anniversary present.
"They are essential and should extend its life by many years.
"It's a nuisance having the pool shut during the summer but we wanted to be sure it was back in use for the new school term and in good condition for its centenary."
