Oh, how my heart sinks whenever the Mr Eames writes to lament the lost Brighton which never was (Letters, Aug29).
Well, Brian, I remember the Brighton of the Seventies and what a load of drivel you and your ilk write.
Yes, the seafront is tatty but can't you see the regeneration? No, you can't. The paddling pool is replaced with something so much better - my memories of glass and urine gone forever.
Why don't you come clean, Brian, and just admit you hate Brighton and all it represents?
