The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) aims to crack down on Spanish timeshare firms which target British holidaymakers.
It plans to use new powers enabling customers to take action against unscrupulous companies anywhere in the European Union.
The OFT wants to hear from anyone who has fallen victim to a timeshare firm and holiday club.
Complaints already received include lack of information about cancellation rights and threatening behaviour towards consumers who try to exercise their right to cancel.
