I read with some amazement reference to the 25 per cent reduction on Council Tax and all I can say to those people is 'you had the option of fair rates'.
It was called Poll Tax. If this had been adopted, it would have meant we all paid for the services we got because if you really look at this, you will find the major cost and concerns are the three-car families that block the streets and leave out twice as much rubbish as the single householder.
Let's be fair and all pay for the services we get. Bring in Poll Tax - Maggie wasn't so wrong.
