A beach shelter has been knocked down after complaints by residents about drunks using it as a doss-house.
People living near the shelter in New Parade, East Worthing, have been plagued by vagrants shouting, swearing and fighting into the early hours for years.
Now borough council workmen have pulled down the shelter, which may be replaced by seats at a later date.
Cliff Harrison, the borough council's head of technical services, said: "There were a lot of complaints from residents and traders and this was the only permanent solution to the problem."
