Robbers took gold jewellery and cash after threatening a man with a corkscrew.
The 41-year-old victim was approached by three men at the top of steps leading to Whitehawk Crescent, Brighton.
They took five gold rings, two necklaces and a small amount of cash after threatening him with what appeared to be a corkscrew.
The first attacker is described as about 16 to 18, with blond short hair.
He was thin, about 5ft 9in tall and was wearing a blue T-shirt and blue trousers.
The second man was 17 to 19 years old, with dark brown short hair.
He was about 5ft 6in tall, of medium build, and was wearing a black top with white lettering on it and blue jeans.
The third man had blond, shaved very short hair.
He was aged 18 to 22, about 5ft 10in tall, of stocky build and wearing beige clothing.
