Magazine publisher Future Network said it had turned around its fortunes after months of restructuring when more than 800 jobs were cut.
Half-year results showed the computer magazine company had recovered from losses of £106.8 million the same time last year to make a £900,000 pre-tax profit.
It also hopes the traditionally strong performance in the period leading up to Christmas would further boost figures.
The interim results to June 30 showed the firm had cleared debts of £77.9 million from the same period last year.
