Lee Gumbrill should be ashamed of himself for costing his mother her council home in Whitehawk, Brighton.
But 20-year-old Gumbrill has shown no more remorse for this than he has in the past for terrorising the area.
He has admitted he is to blame but he has stopped short of offering his mother help.
The council has taken this action for the sake of neighbours whose lives have been made a misery over the years by his antics.
Gumbrill says he is going to settle down, work as a builder and not cause trouble.
If he succeeds, everyone will be relieved and the first thing he should do is help his mother get a new home.
